I have a picture in landscape mode. The picture shows a a man holding a small child. I scanned it in that mode and found that the shape of the man's head changed. In the picture his head is elliptical, but the scan shows his head as round. The child's shape changes as well. When I turned the picture 90 degrees and scanned the head matched the original. I also found that if I took the round head scan into Photoshop and rotated it 90 degrees the head shape looked the way it was in the picture.
Why does this happen? I have an idea that it has to do with pixel aspect ratio, but I never saw this before. Is there some setting in the SilverFast that I changed by mistake? I have the latest 6.5 version and an Epson 750.
Thanks for your help. :o

Dear User,
within the scan parameter window you can set uneven scaling or reset this function. This is documented on page 77 of the SilverFast Manual.
https://www.silverfast.com/showdocu/en.html?docu=910
You could also delete the SilverFast Preference file to Master-Reset SilverFast: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport ... &faq_id=59
