reverse the scan order in time. Could be a lamp warmup time or an old lamp issue. If it is CCF then it generally takes at least 20 - 30 minutes to get the color output stable. ALso could be a power supply issue to the lamp.

Try the demo version of v**s**n and see if it does the same. That could rule out hardware

i assumed that you did the scans over a few minutes ? If it was all at once, then never mind, lamp issues shouldn't make much difference. Another way to test would be to scan at 1200 ppi, wait 10 minutes , scan again. See if there is a color shift.
Another thought is that since the scanner is not capturing at native resolution, try a scan at full optical PPI and see how it compares with 1/2 optical PPI, 1/4th and then at the previous resolutions. Could be something going on with the data interpretation.
