There is no menu for transparency/reflective.
Any ideas?

Hope this is what you're asking.
On mine, same scanner and version, it is the 2nd pull down "original" on the general tab of the main dialog screen, the one with prescan, scan, etc buttons on the bottom.

Strange things are afoot. All I have in the "general" tab is:
"Scan Mode"
"Pos/Neg"
"Frame Set"

Problem solved, loose plug on scanner transparency unit.
