SF will not start scan

Hi,

I use the lastest Win and Mac-Versions of SF 6ai. On Mac I got errors using the SA-30 adapter since more than one year: Can't initialize the scan - can't get exposure time (well I use the German version: 'Fehler beim Starten der Bearbeitung des Bildes. Kann Belichtungsmessung nicht durchf?hren'). I had this error on Jaguar and Panther (clean install - no update from Jaguar). Well everytime this error occurs, I have to delete the SF-prefs. After that I am able to scan about one or two film stripes (SA-30) until the error re-occurs again. This sucks. I never had this error on a pc, but I am working mainly on a Mac. I reported this kind of error serveral times to the support - but the only thing they could tell me is to use the newest version and to delete the prefs.....
I can't belive that this error is so long living - has anybody a solution?

Cheers,
Chris

Dear chris

things like this aren't easy to validate - mostly because we handle to scanners with great care and patience... thus some mistakes never crop up in our testing center until we deliberately try to crash the scan.

However, I still would like to enter this officially as a bug entry in our database.
Could you please assist me with contacting me via the problem report from: http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would need a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile of the latest version available for download in the problem report.
Thanks in advance for your kind co-operation.

Best regards
