Photoshop 7.01 freezes after pre-scan when scanning a slide (transparency/positive). I have not experienced any problems scanning a photo (reflective). My scanner is the Epson 3200 pro my version of Silverfast is v6.0.1r31 and I am connecting via USB.

Dear Orka

please update your SilverFast (download available from our website).
You might experience that this already solves your problem.

Happy new year

Dear LSI_Noack,

I downloaded the latest update prior to joining the forum and that did not solve the problem. Do you have any further suggestions?

Thanks for your reply!

Dear Orka

the latest update release of SilverFast reads 6.1.0r8.
I suggest you contact info@silverfast.com for support, as I am on holidays at this time. Please send the SF_Logfile attached to your email to SilverFast support staff. Thanks in advance.

SilverFast freezes when attempting to scan transparencies

Dear Noack,

I was incorrect when I mentioned my version of SilverFast. First I should mention that my version came bundled with my scanner and it is a SE version. The latest update listed in the download section for bundled software is SFE 6.1.or7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the original program and again downloaded the latest update for bundled software and I am still unable to scan a slide. The Epson software that came with the scanner works perfectly, but I was hoping to use the SilverFast software because it seems to have more capabilities.

Thanks again for your response and Happy Holidays.

Dear Orka

thanks for your reply and the greetings. I am back again at the office.
It would be helpful if I could learn more about your system configuration. The easiest way would be if you could please find the SF_Logfile and email it to me via info@silverfast.com.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
