Prescan green color cast

I have a MicroTek ScanMaker 8700 and I am using SilverFast AI for scanning. Ever since I first installed the program, I have noticed that in the prescan window, there is always a faint green, transparent stripe (that takes up about 3/4 of the image) going down the middle of the image. It does not appear on final scan. I have reset the prescan to factory settings and retried but this did not remedy the situation. Also, when I use the selection tool, wherever I select on the prescan image, the green tint becomes fainter, almost to the point of disappearing. Any thoughts???

Dear Bobacronius
is this true even for the latest
update version available for download from our website?
Happy new year

I have SFE-6.1.0r7(MicroIT8) installed right now. I believe this is the most updated version, but I could be wrong.

Dear Bobacronius / MicroSF6,
could you please assist me in eliminating this phenomenon by sending some example screenshots along with the SF_Logfile to
info@silverfast.com (please add "to Noack" in the subject)? Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
Another question: Are sure sure there is nothing like that green tint in the endscan image?

Well, after doing a couple more test runs, it is showing up in the end scan. I guess before it was just unnoticable. So yes, it is there in the prescan and final scan. I will be sending the screenshots and logfile to you soon.
