Cannot import IT8 txt file into Microtek ICC Profiler Pgm

Recently purchased an IT8 chart from Lasersoft and downloaded the appropriate target description file, but I cannot import the description file. Microtek's Scanner ICC Profiler program complains with, "The selected file is not a valid IT8 data file."

Is there a way to resolve this issue? or should I send my target back for a refund? (is that even an option?)

Thanks!

The reference file is build as standart reference file. We tried them with ProfileMaker (3.1/4.1), LinoColor and several other profilingsoftware. So we are sure, that this referencefiles are correct.
Maybe the Microtek need the referencefiles in a different format (non-Standart) ?

kind regards

The Microtek software is looking for a Binary file in the same format as the Q60 targets from Kodak.

REPLY:

You mentioned using these reference files with Profilemaker (3.1/4.1), presumably Gretag's product? If so, how did you use them within Profilemaker? I have profilemaker pro v4.1 and can use it instead of the Microtek program if necessary.

IT8 vs Q60

I assumed that the IT8 target I bought from Lasersoft was a Q60 target for performing calibrations with my various flatbed scanners. Lasersoft provides the IT8 description file as a TXT file, my programs are expecting Q60-standard binary files.

Can Lasersoft provide a standard Q-60 description file? If not, why not specify somewhere on the website the differences between IT-8 and Q-60? This needs to be explained or Lasersoft needs to provide the Q-60 binary file.
