:-?
HI, I've spent all afternoon trying to scan some trannies and the problem is they all keep coming out soft.
I tried using the unsharp mask but it doesn't apply to the final image.
I've dumped the pref's folder etc, doesn't do a thing.
Any ideas? I'm using SF SE6.

Thanks.

Some details !

Hi Glet,
I have a Power Mac G4/400mhz, running OS X 10.2.5. My scanner is a
Umax Powerlook 2100XL (SCSI).
OK, I do an initial scan in SE, I then try to apply the Unsharp Masking and it doesn't matter what intensity I apply, there is no difference to the final image. In the Unsharp Maskings before and after preview box's there is a little bit of snow if I push the intensity up to 500, but still, the final image
comes out soft. I have tried every combination , different intensity, doing the UM after a preview, every combo I could think of. And over the weekend a friend was in town who has SF 6 and he couldn't get it to sharpen either. I have tried everything all the way to re-installing PS 7,
the SE software and your updates, nothing works.
I used Umax's Powercolor software in classic and the same images came out as sharp as a tac. But the reason I got SE is I'm sick of rebooting, obviously. I know SF is a great product, I had a Microtek scanner for a month that I had to send back because the glass was dirty and it came with SF 5.0, which I loved.
I don't know whats going on, maybe I got a dodgy disc

:(
