LaserSoft Imaging

could not complete the import command because of a problem with the acquisition module interface

I get this erroe meaasge when I try to scan at 720 DPI.
Does anyone know what this means?

have an epson expression 1640 xl scanner on a windows 2000 machine. It uses a usb to fire wire connection.
