No adapter/film found error

[b]I have Xp, AMD CPU, 1333 MHz, new bios' latest USB Patch/ most working OK
I installed Mikrotek Filmscan 1800 with ciberview software & the relevant
Silverscan as a plug inn in PhotoShop Elements and most of the time received
an error : No adapter/film found
the film is there or the adaptor is there.
Sometimes I can scan' but on the same film strip I can't scan enymore.
I checkd all the drivers and USB - the driver installed, the connections is OK and all the USB devices working OK
