Error Message Upon Selecting SF_App.Exe

When I attempt to open SFApp V. 1.2 from the Start>Programs>Lasersoft Imaging>Silverfast menu, I get an error message which says: "The procedure entry point Initialize PIExpres Dialogs could not be located in the dynamic link library PLUGIN.dll." If I click on "OK" I then get the dialog box that says "Plugin Silverfast(Epson), and when I click on "import" in this menu, Silverfast AI 6.0 opens normally and appears to work fine.

Why do I get the above error message, and what can I do to avoid getting it every time I attempt to use the Silverfast AI 6.0 stand alone program?

I also have Silverfast DC and I get the same error message upon attempting to use its stand alone application.

I wrote to Lasersoft Customer Support and they responded that I should "Go to the folder where the SF-app is installed, and delete the sf_app.prf -file. Then, please reboot." I did this, but it makes no difference. I still get the above error message every time I attempt to run SF_app.exe from the Start Menu.

I am using both Silverfast DC and Silverfast(Epson) AI 6.0 on a P4 1.8 GHZ running Windows 2000 Pro SP3 with 1.0 GB of RAM. I have also installed Silverfast DC on my dual processor Xeon computer running Windows 2000 Pro SP3 with 1.0 GB of RAM and I also get the same error message on this computer.

Does anyone know why I am getting this error message and what, if any steps, I can take to eliminate the error message?

Thank you.
