SF 8, 8.5 Archive suite - various problems
PostPosted: Sat Oct 31, 2015 5:41 pm
This is a longish post as I have run into several strange things.
1. I keep getting offers to upgrade to version 8,5 for 499USD. Yet the version I have is 8.5.0r9 (*Widows 7 Enterprise, Nikon 9000ED)
2. The HDR (non scanning) part died - no reaction from any of the buttons. So I reinstalled it and now it opens, but gobbles up between 50 and 95 percent of CPU and 2-4GB of memory while doing nothing. Even after I close it (at least for a while).
3. While it still worked: I needed to flip a few images and in order not to lose numbering, I processed even not-flipped images. But if even one of them is flipped, they all are, even if I specifically choose not to flip one. I.e. the frame settings seem to be copied to all frames without my asking for it. Is this normal?
4. I scanned a roll of film in HDR 32 bit (BW negatives). Batch scanning, most images came out as positive, but a few as negative (I think one in each of three sets). What is (am I doing) wrong?
Any suggestions, answers?
Thank you
