I am very frequently getting bad Overview scans. How can I completely cancel an Overview scan, so I can do another one? There is no button for this on the Overview box, and the yellow diamond cancel button at the top of the screen, while it stops the process, does not delete the bad scan. I am trying to scan B&W negatives, and these bad pre-scans just have a brown horizontal bar through the middle of the frames. (Using an OpticFilm 120, with drivers updated today.) This problem is in SF Ai Studio 8.5 (updated today), in Win 7 x64.
After spending 10 hours getting these two updates installed, now this. I hope there is a ready fix, or perhaps a prescribed order for doing things to avoid these problems. I have been through all the documentation I can find on-line. Lots of work to do, and I hit this brick wall on a weekend.

Re: How can I completely cancel an Overview
Dear customer,
The Overview unfortunately can not be canceled because the driver does not allow this.
For B&W images please make sure that the iSRD scratch and dust removal is deactivated.
The silver-halide emulsion blocks the infrared beam, which can cause all kinds of strange artefacts.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
