Dear user,
I am not entirely sure which settings you are talking about.
Kind regards,
Arne

Now I have found the time to test more precisely.
With the new update, there are extended compatibility settings with which a program can be started:
"Right click on the Silverfast program shortcut on desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Override behavior with high DPI scaling. Scaling performed by:"
Since I have translated from German to English, it may be that in Windows 10 in English the names are different.
Another time I have to correct myself. It seems that the menu size in Silverfast Update 8.8.0r7 is set to a fixed (larger) value. This value obviously corresponds to the value of 200% UI scaling, which can now be adjusted with the new Windows 10 update.
In my case, I would argue that Silverfast with a fixed scaling to 200% (Update 8.8.0r7) is better than a Silverfast, which can only be scaled by operating system options (unsightly) (Update 8.8.0r8).

That is strange. Far more users get better results with the new setting that directly uses the Windows setting.
I am not sure we can switch that back as the fixed values caused some issues on several systems.
Kind regards,
Arne

Thank goodness there are good solutions.
Solution 1: Adapt the Silverfast software to native support for scaling the menus. (Optimal and only really meaningful solution)
If a small image program like IrfanView supports this for a long time, why not the Silverfast software?
Solution 2: Option to display the menus as in Silverfast Update 8.8.0r7. (Possibly as a temporary emergency solution)

Is there any news about this case?

Dear user,
We have found a possible source for the small UI issue. But it so far only was reproducible on systems with a QHD+ screen.
Our developers are currently looking into this. It took some time to locate this because we do not have such a display in our testing department.
Kind regards,
Arne

Thank you for the promising update.
I'm already waiting very excitedly for the day on which Silverfast is displayed properly scaled on my monitor.
