Epson Photo Perfection V700 & Plustek OpticFilm 8200i

I have installed both of these scanners successfully on my Windows 8.1 64-bit computer with 24 GB RAM. I have installed Silverfast 8 Ai Studio for each of the scanners, each with their own Silverfast software and serial number. The problem is that I must re-install the applicable Silverfast software each time I switch to the other scanner in order for Silverfast to recognize the scanner. This is not at all workable. I know there is a drop down item for the scanner but it consistently shows only the last scanner installed in the Silverfast software. What do I need to do in order to see both scanners? Note: I do not need to see both at the same time [that would be ideal] but I should be able to see whichever scanner is energized.

Dear customer,

Please make sure you install the latest updates for both devices from our website's Update page.
What you describe normally happens if you install different release versions.
All installed modules must be of the same version number.
