Wrong batch file autonumbering starting with SE-8.5.0r3

Postby jmanel » Sun Apr 05, 2015 8:45 pm

Today I updated from SF-8.2.0r3(AFL)_x64 to SF-8.5.0r3(AFL)_x64 and I found it has introduced a bug to the autonumbering of filenames in batch mode.

When scanning films in batch mode (Reflecta ProScan 7200), I usually set "File name" as "Picture" and "Initial index" as "0001". Version 8.2 correctly generates filenames "Picture0001", "Picture0002", etc. On the contrary, version 8.5 generates filenames "Picture0001", "Picture00010002", "Picture000100020003", etc. The problem appears to be that that the previous "Index" gets automatically attached to the "File name" at each new scanned image. It does not prevent to work but is annoying because you must manually correct the "File name" field at each new scanned image.

Thanks in advance for your support,
Joan-Manuel Parcerisa

Dear customer,

this is an issue due to a change that is supposed to prevent dates and index numbers to be deleted from a file name.
We will correct this behavior in an upcoming update.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

I am experiencing the same issue Ai Studio 8.5.0r3. Looks like others have had this problem in version 8.5.0r2 and the problem was supposed to be fixed in future updates. I hope it is corrected in the next update.
