Batch Scan File Name gets longer & longer with New Index No.

Hi,
Since I upgraded to Silverfast 8.5.0r2, the batch scan index numbering function operates in a different manner. Has anyone else observed this yet?
The way it now works, is that if I set the "Name" field to, say, Test and the "Start Index at" field to 001, then the first scanned picture's filename is "Test001.jpg". That's good!!
But on the second picture I scan, the "Name" field has automatically changed to Test001, and the "Start Index at" field now says 002, and the picture's filename comes out as "Test001002.jpg". Ah! This is different to before!
.... and the next picture's filename comes out as "Test001002003.jpg", and the next filename comes out as "Test001002003004.jpg" and so on and so on.
Now, I have reported this to the excellent support team, who tell me this change of behaviour was intentional, and they are now evaluating this behaviour with a possible view to changing it back again.
So, I think it would be useful for other people who make use of the Batch Scan Automatic Indexing facility to speak up and say if they prefer the new behaviour, whereby the new index number gets added to the entire previous filename and previous index number, or whether they prefer the previous index number removed and replaced with the new index each time. I know which I prefer!
I remain not quite convinced that this particular change in operation was intended - but we'll have to see if a new release (or a new build) puts it back to the way it was.......
Regards
Chris
