Find Frames issue with Epson 11000XL 35mm filmstrip holder

We are using Silverfast Ai Studio (8.2.0r3) with an Epson 11000XL scanner connected to an iMac (OS 10.9.5). When trying to use the Epson 35mm filmstrip holders, we get an error message (see error_message.jpg) when selecting Find Frames>35mm filmstrip holder after the initial pre-scan. Clicking OK in the error message, Silverfast goes on to find the frames.

There are two problems (see frame_selection.jpg).
1) Frame selection is very inaccurate. Frames are missed completely and all frames created do not match the the film frames.
2) Frames are not created in order. Instead of creating 6 frames consecutively along the first strip, the software only selects 3 frames then goes to the next strip.

When we use the Epson software, all frames are found in order and perfectly accurate.

What are we doing wrong??

thanks!

Dear customer,

Are you using a higher preview resolution (Setting in the preferences' general tab)?

There is currently such an issue regarding hi-resolution previews.
This will be fixed in our next update.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn

Hi Arne,

The preference for High Resolution Prescan is set at "6x". I believe this was the default setting as I don't recall changing that preference.

thanks,

Dear Rob,

The default value for that setting would be x1.

Please use the x1 setting until our next update becomes available.
That will solve this issue.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
