I'm using an Epson V700 to scan 35mm film strips. I'm using Version 8.2.0r3
The first time, it worked fine and I was able to [Find Frames] successfully (see (2)on image), however, in the main window the frames and preview didn't show (see (1) on image).
At the bottom of the Navigator Panel, you can see an empty frame. It wouldn't let me delete it, so I ended up with a 'black' image in my Batch Scan.
I tried it again, with some new film strips and nothing showed up in the main window (or preview). If I <clicked> on the Frames in the Navigator window,I could see the preview and it let me adjust the Frame edges. I couldn't add or delete Frames, at all. Very frustrating and confusing. Got any suggestions, as to what I've done wong?
Thanks.
Al Darby

Re: Problems Scanning 35mm film strip
Dear Al Darby,
You are zoomed into the active (red boarder) black frame.
The preview currently only shows that single frame.
Clicking on another frame in the Navigator will load that image.
To view all images in the preview area click on the magnifying glass to the left of the preview area.
It will zoom back out.
To delete the frame you also must zoom out first.
Then you can use the delete active frame from the Frame menu to remove it.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

My problem was (is?), when I did a [Prescan], NOTHING showed up in the Preview window on the main screen, It was like there was no film in the film holder.

Dear Al Darby,
Did you zoom out?
Because the issue was only that you were zoomed into that black (empty) scan frame.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

No my issue was that NOTHING showed up in the Preview. Changing the zoom made no difference. The Preview stayed all black regardless of what I attempted. I can replicate it, as the film belonged to a Client and has since been returned. I'll definitely watch it closer, with the next lot I get, whenever that is.
