Hi,

Just bought SF 8 SE. Tried the demo before and checked the comparison chart.

Scanning and outputting 48 bit color images is possible, but as soon as I select 48 bit color iSRD and GANE are greyed out. This is not like what I expected, based on the product description and comparison chart.

Is this is a bug, or is it unclear what you are offering in your product?

I'd like very much to be capable to do 48 bit scans, and of course with the possibility to use those filters. It wouldn't make much sense otherwise, don't you agree?

Fully processed 48 Bit output is only available in SilverFast Ai Studio.
The simpler SE and SE plus do not offer this because such files can only be processed by professional imaging software like Photoshop CC and SilverFast HDR Studio.
Many software products and devices can not even display such files.

The 48/64 Bit HDR(i) formats create unprocessed archive files.
These are saved without any changes for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).

Dear Arne,

OSX Preview, part of OSX, is able to open 16 bit files since a long time. Pixelmator € 26,99, rated under 'essentials' in the Mac App store, edits 16 bit files easily. I feel your argument about professional software is outdated for quite some time, at least on the Mac.
Furthermore, it is not strange to expect that when software is capable of outputting 48 bit and of iSRD, GANE that it can be used together.
