Silverfast Executable has stopped working (Ai Studio

When scanning slides, the programme repeatedly aborts with the above message. Scanning at 48 -> 24 bit, 2400 dpi. Especially prevelant when using iSRD and USM. Have discounted everything, including memory, except the Silverfast software itself. Anyone know what the problem is with the software?

Dear customer,

please make sure you are using the latest version 8.0.1r20.
If you already do please try resetting SilverFast through the Service Dialog in the Welcome screen.
