How to activate Kodachrome profile in SF DCPro

Hello,

I digitise slides by photographing them with a Canon DSLR camera, macro lens, and a white light source.
I just started using SF DCPro to develop the RAW file from the camera, and am getting good results.
Kodachrome slides, however, take more time, as the typical blue cast must be removed.
Silverfast is claimed to have a special Kodachrome profile that automatically corrects the colour.
My question: How can I activate this profile in SF DCPro?

Dear Foxy 45,

the Kodachrome profile is scanner specific, because every scanner has a different response to every film. If you digitize your Kodachrome slides using a camera, you would need a specific Kodachrome profile for that camera.

Since there is not a specific Kodachrome profile for any camera, this task can be performed by manually color correcting or by making and IT8 calibration.
For that purpose you will need a Kodachrome IT8 target, make a RAW photograph and then use the raw file to make the calibration in DCPro. You will apply the generated profile on every Kodachrome file you wish to color correct.

Kodachrome targets can be purchased on our online store at: http://www.silverfast.com/show/store/en.html

Cheers
