Negfix Profiles update
I?am very disappointed about the policy of the Silverfast company to give users with a software version below 6.5 not the opportunity to upgrade the new profiles in thier version. The version I use now is good enough for me to do my things. So, I don?t need to upgrade to version 6.5 for more gadgets I?am not using. Why not like PS is doing, with the RAW-profiles, make the profiles also available for us? That would be a great service.

I reget, that we cannot create a reference profile for every film.

With SilverFast Ai version you have the possibility to create your own profile.

Please use the film profile which gives the best result. In the case this result has still a colour cast or is not perfect you can modifiy and save the new profile by using the NegaFix Expert Dialog.( reducing the color cast, ect. )

as implied in your text, if you didnt buy the AI version, your pictures will not look as intended when you exposed the film....

please understand that creating the Negafix profiles is done by us with great effort and involves a measurement process that takes time. We include new Negafix profiles in new versions, but not neccessarily in older versions.

If you have a special film you are interested in, you may edit profiles for your own purposes in the Negafix' "Curves" dialog.
