JobManager not making life easier

I'm new at Silverfast, but am knowledgable with other scanning and photo-software. I'm trying to scan a whole roll of film using JobManager (JM), but it's not responding intuitively to me. Here's my workflow:
- I set the negative-type and do a prescan.
- I use the offset-tool to center the image in the frame.
- I start JM and click the Add all frames-button
- I do a prescan of the whole roll of film and after a while they are all prescanned and visible as thumbnails.
- I select all thumbnails to go into the JM
So far so good, but I now want to be able to change the settings per frame, like cropping area, etc. But when I select a frame in JM and select Edit, I can change the options, like DPI, output, etc, but the image is NOT visible in the screen. So how the ---- am I supposed to select a cropping area, when the prescan is not visible?? SF made all the prescans, so they must be on memory somewhere, but why doesn't it display them?
Bug in SF or am I doing anything wrong??
Now I just manually (!) have set the cropping fields of all the frames to the maximum size and I'll edit it afterwards in Photoshop. But there must be a better way than this?!
Anyone have any tips??
