How about some negfix profiles for the Fuji B&W films;neopan 100, 400, and Neopan Aros, for HDR. I know I can make one on my own, but jeez ha, I would rather have Lasersoft do it. It`s popular film for fine art B&W photographers, espiecially Neopan Across.

Please, it would be so helpful if there were a profile for one of the most important black and white films!

Dear equivoque
We are aware, and probably the most conscious, of the importance of this film as were as any other film emulsion. However the company providing the calibration targets for the creation of NegaFix profiles does not have all types of emulsions, among the ones that are missing are the Neopan films.
We are still looking for another provider for this film emulsions, however up to this time we can not make any promisses as to what Neopan film emulstions concerns.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding
Have a nice day

I have the latest version of AI and I would like to ask if the Fuji Neopan 400 profile is the correct one. If I use it I get a very wishy-washy image. As far as I know Neopan s similar to TRI-X, but not according to these profiles.
anyone else noticed this?
thanks,
meste

Dear Meste,
Dear SilverFast users,
As I mentioned in my last email, there are no targets available for the production of the neopan profiles. There are some scanners which have this Neopan filmtype included in the NegaFix box, the profile was created in former times of SilverFast, however the emulsion used for creating this profile is not available anymore here in the company as well as from the company which creates the targest for devices and lab calibrations.
@ Meste, If you have the feeling the film curves are not the right ones, I would choose a similar film and curve (like the one you propose) and then make a modification using the expert mode in NegaFix (only available in SilverFast Ai), then saving it and using it only for that type of film.
Thanks for your interest

Dear SilverFast and Neopan users,
Since the film emulsion is not available (as explained above), you will have to modify any given profile that adjust the best to your pictures and emulsion by means of using the expert mode in NegaFix (only available within SilverFast Ai).
There is a PDF document which explains how the expert dialog in NegaFix works, it can be downloaded from
