Dear visucomp
thank you for your interest in our software's further development.
I have entered your request on our
wishlist to be included in future editions.
I trust you do understand that right now I will not be able to offer you a fixed date when the profile is ready to use. Thanks again.

I second visucomp on this.
I just downloaded the demo version hoping to see the Kodak HD 200 profile to be one of the many being available.
As this is an excellent film (very low in grain, extremely sharp, natural colours) this is the film I will keep using.
I do understand that a new profile is not on your high ranked priorities, but I am not sure what the added value of SF is for me when the Kodak HD 200 profile is not there.
Hopefully you can answer this for me.
Assuming that the profile will be available in a future version, do I have to pay an upgrade price to obtain that profile ....... ??
Is there another profile you advise me to use instead?
I appreciate your answer.

Dear Remko, visucomp.
Please note that you don't need necessarily to wait until LaserSoft Imaging has developed and implemented a certain
negafix profile.
You can generate your own profiles from the expert dialogue of the
NegaFix tool (openend by clicking the "professor" icon).
Here you got two starting points for creating a new profile: "Expansion" and "Curves". You can freely change from either mode to another.

Dear Noack,
Thank you for taking the effort to show where in the software we can make our own profile. I appreciate that !
A small but ....... you did not tell us HOW to do it. Could you point us to more specific info on this?
Or could you tell us more?
Surely it depends very much on the content of a particular photo. How to overcome that as the goal is to make an overall profile?
And again: if the profile is added in a new version, do we then have to pay an upgrade price just to get that profile?

Dear Noack,
I just found on the SF website that scanners with o.a. Nikon MAID can not download new profiles for NegaFix.
I have a Nikon LS 50.
How is the process of getting new profiles in SF Ai?

Dear Remko
new profiles come as free downloads and / or are included in
update releases. No extra costs.
As Ian Lyons put it: "There is really no single way to use this tool."
I am afraid I couldn't offer a certain golden middle way to happiness, but if I may, I want to draw your attention to Ian's
negafix tutorial:
http://www.computer-darkroom.com/sf5-ne ... egafix.htm
Another valuable starting point is our own webpage on
negafix which includes a
PDF on the usage of the
negafix tool:
