How to upgrade NegaFix files?

I just downloaded your latest NegaFix profiles but have no idea where to put them or where the old archives (to be trashed) are located (MAC - OS 9 and OS X). Please clarify.

Dear EpsonSF6.
Negafix profiles can be applied only in SilverFast starting with version 6!
Please change the Scanmode under the general tab in the scan-control window to "Negative". That will open the
Negafix dialogue.
Import
NegaFix profiles via the Vendor --> Import menu.

Well, I have to be more specific...
I have Epson Perfection 3200 Pro scanner bundle with SF Ai 6.1 software.
I was hoping for a larger selection of available neg profiles. That is why I downloaded the upgrade in the first place. I have used the recommended import route - but nothing happened. Is it because I do something wrong or because v.6.1.7 cannot be upgraded? (no difference between the original 6.0 and my latest upgrade to 6.1.7???)
Also, on your web site you recommend to trash the archives first. Where
do I find them? I tried the SilverFast folder - but with no luck.
Please, clarify whether my version is upgradeable or what is the right step by step approach.
