Kodak T-MAX P3200
Fuji Neopan 1600
Fujicolor Press 1600

It's truelly a shame there arn't any speedy films in the Negafix profile.
I've been waiting for them to show up for a while now.

Hope that could be arranged some how, I'm sure more people would like to see these additions since these are the most common high speed film around.

Thank you.

Still no support for Fuji Neopan 1600 by the looks of it. Anyone got a good profile for this film? Thanks

I would like to see a profile for high speed films too, especially TMAX 3200. I'm sure there are many others for whom this would be useful.

I add my voice in favor of a TMax 3200 profile.
This is a very popular B&W film.

Thanks

Dear ChrisP
Dear SilverFast users

The list of available profiles can be found here:

http://www.silverfast.com/show/negafixprofiles/en.html

It is a priority for SilverFast to provide its customers with the best products possible, however film emulsions not present in the list are NOT planned to be developed in the near future.
For the creation of every single NegaFix profile is necessary to have a special calibration target created under controlled environment, this targets have special characteristics and are (were) produced by only one company. Unfortunately with the dominance of digital photography, the mentioned company was forced to close down.
It means, no other emulsions will be used to produce more calibration targets than the emulsions found in the actual list of NegaFix profiles.

Perhaps in the future LaserSoft Imaging might develop another process to generate new profiles but in the meantime this is not planned yet.

For the time being the only solution we can suggest is to modify an existing curve to create a new profile that fits the emulsion you are using. This can only be made with SilverFast Ai or Ai Studio and the expert NegaFix dialogue.

Detailed instructions on how to generate new profiles from existing ones can be found here:

PDF document: http://www.silverfast.com/download/docs/SF-NegaFix-en.pdf
QuickTime video: http://www.silverfast.com/showmovie/en.html?movien=301&mode=inline&hide=desc

Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards

I understand the difficulties regarding new profiles, but is there anyone out there that successfully created a profile for the T-MAX P3200 please, if so can you share it, simply cant afford to upgrade to the Ai version of Silverlight at the moment. If you have a solid profile and can share, please do, would be a great help to me.

Kind regards, Flappers.

Dear Flappers,

It is not enough to simply ask for the profiles, it is a must that the profiles you want to use were created using the same scanner model you are using.

Cheers

According to the list of available profiles, Neopan 1600 is included.
Somehow I'm not able to find it (I am using Silverfast 8.0)

Hi there,

Please bear in mind those are very old profiles not available to all scanner models.

Which scanner are you using?

Kind regards

Thank you for your fast reply. I'm using the Plustek OpticFilm 7600i. I'm tweaking a bit with the editing curves though, but to be honest this is the first batch of Neopan 1600 film I've used (so I don't really know how it's supposed to look like  ). I can understand to a certain degree that it's not included, as they don't make this film anymore (which is a pity)

Hi Hydraulix

I believe this filmtype is not included in the NegaFix set for this scanner model. The scanner itself is relatively new, the targets used to create the NegaFix profile for this type of emulsion were not available by the time the scanner came to the market.

You can modify an existing profile starting with an Ilford Delta 400.
