in the New Negafix Profiles section, LSI wrote:Import NegaFix profiles via the Vendor --> Import menu.
Download corrected (optimized) NegaFix Profiles, for all scanners except for Nikon Maid, Kodak, Epson, PIE

with respect to SilverFast Ai Nikon, what exactly does this mean? that DirectNeg is not updated, or that all of the profiles for the Nikon scanners are not updated?

are these updates of any use to Nikon people?

I'm using the Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED.

There are files, you could download, where the new profiles are in. This is not for the Nikon. The new Negafix Profiles will be also in the current versions of SilverFast (also for Nikon).

Thats cause these scannertypes get special Negafix Profiles.
