New user - cropping problem

Hi all,
Just getting to grips with Silverfast with my Epson V700 and I have a question when scanning positive slides in the film holder.
When using Epson scan all of my images are correctly cropped; however with silverfast SE Plus when it scans the images they all require additional cropping as they have a small black border.
Is there any way to get Silverfast SE plus to crop like the way the included Epson scan crops without having to manually set the cropping area on every slide ?
or do I need Ai Studio and create a template ?
