Missing documentation

Hi,

On the LSI web site, I have seen multiple references to the "Docu Installer" but I couldn't find any such thing to download. The documentation page of the web site has an empty "Docu Installer" section.

Also, there's a Silverfast 8 Quick Start guide available in PDF format but the full manual is available only online. What if I'm not connected? Where can I get it in PDF format as well? I can't imagine that a software like Silverfast be released and installed without its full documentation available locally. Not at this price level.

Did I miss something?

Thanks.

Dear customer,

a documentation installer is not yet available.

You can download all the PDFs from our site.
Just right-click on the document link and select save as....

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Hi,

I'm aware of this. But as far as I know, there's no full and detailed documentation for Silverfast 8. I just discovered that the full documentation available online is for Silverfast 6.

Requests for a full documentation are stacking up since the product has been released. Before I retired, I was a computer consultant and I have been teaching software development to many software engineers. I have always told them that coding the software is just 50% of the job. The other 50% are the documentation. This part of the job is only partly achieved for Silverfast 8 (we just have a quick start guide that is lacking a lot of details). However, I didn't pay only a part of the license :D ...
