PIE PF3600 Pro and Demo woes

I was happy to see the demo of SilverFast for this scanner. I eagerly downloaded the Plug-in version, installed, rebooted and attempted to use it..But it did not work.. says no scanner found... uh.. well, CyberView says there is a scanner there and it works okay with it. I have followed the FAQ to make sure my USB drivers are up to date and that everything is there that should be, with only one exception...SDKDLL1800AFL.dll is not there nor would I expect it to be.. Can anyone shed any light on this?
