I am a potential new customer. I have never loaded any SilverFast software until now. I downloaded the Ai Studio Demo but after the install the main dialog box says SilverFast Ai, not the Ai Studio as expected. I am able to control the scanner, but the it seems to me that I am not running the Ai Studio version.
I downloaded the Canon 9000F, Vista 64-bit version of the demo. The filename was SFen-6.6.2r3(CanonSDK).exe.
Is this the correct version, or did the wrong demo verion get downloaded?
Regards,
Pongo

Dear Pongo,
The installer for SilverFast Ai and Ai Studio is the same, the demo version always works as a studio version.
Cheers

Re: Downloaded Ai Studio Demo, but runs Ai
I am a potential new customer. I have never loaded any SilverFast software until now. I downloaded the Ai Studio Demo but after the install the main dialog box says SilverFast Ai, not the Ai Studio as expected. My main interest in the studio version is the multi exposure function.
I own a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED which is currently operating successfully under Windows 7 64bit, both with NikonScan 4 and Silverfast AI 6.6.2r3 through a (onboard) firewire connection.
Before contacting you I tried the following steps, but without any success:
- Uninstall Silverfast + every directory referring to Silverfast (e.g. preferences) +
every register entry referring to Silverfast.
- I also tried the options delete serial, preferences in the service dialog of the
Silverfast launcher
Furthermore, I want to notify that:
- I have installed NikonScan 4 before Silverfast.
- During the installation of Silverfast I unchecked the installation of ‘SCSI
drivers’.
- I have no additional usb/firewire equipment connected to the pc.
I am looking forward to see if there are any suggestions.
Kind regards,
Dennis de Bot

Re: Downloaded Ai Studio Demo, but runs Ai
Dear Artur,
Thank you for the quick response. I already knew that the demo version contains the multi exposure function. However, still the main dialog window in Silverfast reads ‘Silverfast AI’ instead of ‘Silverfast AI Studio’.
Are there any specific settings I should be aware of such that the multi exposure function/button becomes available/visible?
Kind regards,
Dennis de Bot
