Can my SE+ version recognize a second scanner ?

Hello,
I recently updated my bundled version of Silverfast SE (included with the Canon 8400F scanner that I bought a couple of years ago) to SE+ with the multiexposure option.
Could SilverFast also recognize my other scanner, an old Minolta Dimage Scan Dual 3, which still works OK ? (I am aware of the functionnal limitations of Silverfast with this scanner). If so, how shoul I proceed ?

Thank you in advance
PierreK

Dear Pierre,

SilverFast is created in modules to fit and make the most of every scanner model. In the case of your Minolta scanner, you need a separate scanner module that will work with it. I recommend you check the product site for that scanner model and its possible limitations (e.g operating system compatibility, SilverFast version available, etc.)

The product site can be found at: http://www.silverfast.com/product/en.html

You can eve download the demo version for that scanner and test it with your second scanner unit.

Cheers

Thank you very much for your quick and satisfactory answer.
I have tested the demo version of SilverFast SE with my Minolta fil scanner and I see little interest in buying it since I loose functions in comparison with the Minolta pilot (48bits color scan only in HDR mode without even basic adjustements, tedious manuel focus). I should upgrade to SilverFast Ai to find advantage in using SilverFast.
I did appreciate to have the opportunity to download a demo version of SilverFast.

Best regards
PierreK

Dear PierreK,

I am glad you tested the demo version before purchasing. Please feel free to test the Ai Studio demo version too, in that way you can be absolutely sure that it has all tools you require.

Cheers
