LaserSoft Imaging

I have just purchased Silverfast Se for the Nikon CoolscanIV but when I enter the serial number I get the following error meassage:

"This serial number is able to unlock additional features,only. Please enter the first basic number and update via the buttons Info->Credits->Upgrade."

Whats going on??

I am using W2K with Photoshop 6.0 and I have checked that I ahve installed the correct version.

The serial number you are using is for IT8. You should have another number. I am not positive but you may have to register SE first to get the right serial number.

Yes, it's kind of a bummer when you set aside time to install and work with a new program, and you have to spend an hour hassling with serial numbers.

I too just received Silverfast Ai, with the IT8 calibration. I have two serial numbers, one on the outer jacket, one on the extra "Nikon Feature CD" white jacket.

Both produce the identical "This serial number is able to unlock additional features only message."

Not a good start.
