SilverFast AI/Studio w/Windows 7 64-bit

Postby alohabill » Thu Aug 20, 2009 1:41 pm

I have a nice Epson V500 Photo running fine under Windows 7 RC 64-bit mode.

When I try to add the Silverfast demo code as a Twain update, no joy, it complains. I am also running Photoshop Elements 6, and yet the Photoshop plugin method doesn't work either.

My goals: I have a large collection of priceless slides, mostly Kodachrome. I'm willing to give SilverFast a try, if I can just get it to work.

I have also have SilverFast SE 5.5 with a legal serial number.

What are my options? Congrats on a great product.

Aloha, and thanks for your help

Dear alohabill,

thanks for your compliments and interest in our products.

Windows 7 is not yet an official product and even the RC version is likely to have modifications at the end. We still have to test SilverFast under the official release of the operating system to be able to support it.
Likely is that we might have to make some adjustments to all different modules of SilverFast.

For all this reasons Windows 7 is not officially supported yet. Since your scanner is one of the latest Epson model, you will definitely have good chances that it will be supported.

We will inform all our customers as soon as a compatible version of SilverFast for their scanners is available. Please subscribe to our Newsletter to receive this information directly in your inbox at: http://www.silverfast.com/mailing_list/en.html?mode=subscribe

Cheers
