Silverfast with Mac and Epson V750

Postby Dabrucke » Mon Apr 06, 2009 5:50 pm

Having mega issues trying to get silverfast to function on my mac with photoshop CS4. When launched it freezes PShop - it does however work with the V750 Epson software. Is anyone having this problem and more to the point how was it resolved.

Thanks

OK that was great - it cleared up the start up issue....It was my Imacon scanner that got in the way of the Epson. I now have a few more issues:

1. I do not get the Scan Pilot to launch and can not find where this is located even after reading most everything that came with the printer - did I miss something.

2. I have purchased the HDR upgrade - where do I find out how to start this feature...

Thanks

Dear Dabrucke,

1. The next screenshot shows you the button to open the scan pilot:

2. If you mean how to scan 48 bits HDR color files the next screen will show you where to select this scan type, bear in mind that you should save this file type as TIFF files, it will generate completely unmodified files out of your original pictures with 16 bits per channel.

I'm considering purchasing the v750. What does LaserSoft offer in terms of upgrades for customers who purchase a new v750 bundled with your software? I am sure that numerous updates have been released since the item was boxed. Is there an easy means of logging into your website and registering to receive the latest updates and how long does this continue for?

Dear dekiruhito,

it is very rare that you would actually get a V750 that did not include SilverFast Ai version 6.5.
And from SilverFast 6.5 you can update for free to the current Version 6.6.0r6 :-)

Dear Dekiruhito,

Updates depend directly on what SilverFast version you have (only for free within a product generation) and are in fact available after registration.
The registration can be made at: https://www.silverfast.com/reg/en.html

After completing the registration you will have access to the latest update available

Thanks for your interest
