LaserSoft Imaging

I would like to try Silverfast scanning software, but after install, when the program search for my
Epson V300 scanner it can´t find it.
When I look through the list of supported scanner I see V200, V350, V500 ect.
but no V300.

Shout I just forget about Silverfast or is there a way?

at the moment we evaluate the support of this scanner when we support it we will add it on our supported scanners page.
Thank you for your feedback so we can measure the actual demand for this scanner.

Meantime...Is there some kind of "workaround"?

I think is the same scanner as the V350, maybe I can chance something in a file or ?

At this time there is no workaround for this, as my colleague Mr. Luebker already explained, there are certain criteria that have to be fulfilled before supporting new scanners and at this time those criteria have not been fulfilled yet.

We are sorry for the inconvenience at this time, perhaps in the future we decide to include the scanner model in our supported devices.

I was just looking for this thread!
It would be very useful to add this scanner because it take a large amount of buyers (it seems epson v300 had a good marketing campaign)
On Flickr some users were asking the same thing.

And, plus, other scanning software lack this support, so Silverfast would be pioneering this scanner compatibility.

We are evaluating the possibility of supporting this scanners, we are waiting for the scanner to be delivered by Epson in the next weeks, if the support for this scanner is possible we will be releasing a compatible plugin.

The good news is that all your voices have been heard, we are now studying the posibility of supporting the scanner and our programmers will be working on this, to see if the scanner can be supported at all. Apparently this is a quite different scanner than the rest of the Epson scanners and there are some things that have to be analysed and tested before being able to give you all a positive answer.

I see now that the V300 is supported. Are there plans in the near future to add the Epson V330? I would really like to use this program with my scanner.
