hi im a newbi to this silverfast thing

got some experience with adobe photoshop over the last few years

so using the two togeather should be no prob if i can just get it to work smoothly

and learn me way around this as it looks great

im having the usual serialization probs that looks to be the norm from what ive read hear and there on this forum

just waiting for some tech response

the thing that im not sure about is exactly what ( Ai ) version i have

my hardware is opticfilm7200i
bundled software is 6.5 Ai and all the presto stuff etc

on the actual CD it says

Ai+iSRD
Ai Studio
iSRD+multi-exposure

at the moment i can only seem to get half the stuff on the disk im assuming this is down to the unlocking of the full programme

did notice that it mentioned that unless you have studio that some of the extras in the demo mode will be missing

did the usual update to latest version trying to sort things out etc

6.5.5r4

but the main question is have i lost studio doing the update

? ARE THEY TWO SEPERATE PROGRAMMES

HAVE I downgraded by updating

i just dont know anymore im so confused with all the teething probs ive had trying to get this thing installed so it works smoothly i seem to be almost there ,:) just need to know, what ive got exactly, and get this serialization thing sorted also

any answers would be great

thankyou.......KEITH

[ALL this new software and hardware available nowadays is supposed to be..........HOT-STUFF....... yeah right then it ...........FREEZES....... well coooool wouldnt you say.][/quote]

quoting from the Plustek website:

"The OpticFilm 7200i is a 7200 dpi film scanner capable of scanning 35 mm slides and negatives. High optical resolution, USB 2.0 connection and fast scan speed allow Plustek's OpticFilm 7200i to easily outperform other professional film scanners.

The package comes with SilverFast 6 Ai iSRD. "

on the actual cd it also reads

studio

multi exposure

so i take it they are not part of this package

although they are on the disk itself

This is probably the page you are looking for:

http://www.silverfast.com/comparison/scanner/en.html

Then visit the individual feature's pages and video tutorials for more detail to see if it is of interest.

You can always download the Studio demo version and try out the features - it will just put a watermark in the image. All but the IT8 calibration feature will function properly.

Yes and no. Although multi exposure and Studio is already "coded" into the software and therefore part of the package, the serial number is the key that activates the optional features. Assuming that user decides to upgrade at a later time we will only provide a new serial and no extra installation procedure will be necessary.
degrub is correct, the version you have would be the Ai +iSRD, because that's the one the vendor bundled.

Kind regards,
