Discounted Upgrade?

Hello there at Silverfast!

I'm waiting for weeks until the Silverfast 6.5 Version for Canon 8400F for Windows Vista 64-bit is released. As far as it seems, there is no possibility to tell, how long it will take to make such a version available. Whilst I have waiting customers that won't wait until the new software release is out, and I can't riks to lose these customers, I'm more or less forced to buy another scanner which is supported on Windows Vista 64-bit systems via Silverfast. Therefore I'm planning to buy a Canon 8800F, but as I could see in the Online Shop, upgrading my software (Version Silverfast Ai 6.5 for Canon 8400F to Silverfast Ai 6.5 for Canon 8800F) would be 101,15 €uros, which is, in my opinion, pretty much for being more or less forced to buy a new scanner whilst my "old" (in my eyes still actual) software isn't supported no more. Is there any way to give another discount on an upgrade from Canon 8400F 32-bit Software to Canon 8800F 64-bit software? Please let me know as soon as possible, because I feel pretty happy with Silverfast Ai-Software, but I can't let my customers wait and otherwise it would be necessary to change to another software.

Best regards, René A.

Your best bet is to contact sales directly by phone.

I guess you're right, although a quick update on vista 64-bit for Canon 8400F would be my favourite way, but it seems to be out of reach...

I'd just forget about Silverfast ever coming to Vista 64. While other software vendors (v**s**n) seem to have no problems getting their stuff to work on x64, LaserSoft are completely incapable of doing so.

Dear Hates,

based on my information we will have a SilverFast 6.5 version for the Canon 8400F compatible with Vista 64-bit in the near future.

The price Reen referres to is actually a discounted crossupgrade.

The update will be available as a free download. Please sign up for our newsletter in order to receive the news when it is released.

Kind regards,

JAN
