:( I have encountered Dr Watson debugger which apparently is an embedded program in XP that will not permit me to start up Silverfast. The debugger is used to enable viruses. Does that mean there is a virus in my version of Silverfast. If not what can be going on.

Dr W is a crash analyser. Has nothing to do with viruses. Doubt that there is one in SF software.

Google for how to turn off Dr Watson. Sometime it was turned on since it is not enabled by default.
