I am using a Macintosh Powerbook G4 with OS 10.4.6. I closed Photoshop. I opened SF_Launcher v. 2.1.2 while holding down the Alt+Shift+S+F keys. I clicked on the start button. I next removed the 30 digit serial number for Silverfast Epson v6.4.3r6b which I am using with an Epson 2450 Photo scanner. I did not delete my name. I re-entered the 30 digit serial number. The Unlock Silverfast button become active. I clicked on it. I then clicked on the information button in the Silverfast Epson Perf2450/GT-9700 window. I then clicked on the Credits button. I then clicked on Serialise and then once more on the Unlock Silverfast button. I then went back to the credits and the software still was listed as a demo version.

Dear Mr Light

if you cannot get out of demo mode, there very likely is a problem with file permission rights for SilverFast for its serialisation files.
Please retrace your steps while <a href="https://www.silverfast.com/faq/1005/en.html#macosx">being root user</a>.
