Problem with Silverfast AI Demo Installation

Hello!

I run XP on my machine and the scanner is a HP 4p on SCSI#5. It works without a problem with the buildin Windows Scan software. I downloaded and installed the Demo Version from Silverfast AI and the recommended ASPI layer driver. AI starts but in the moment when the program tries to connect with the scanner it freezes and I'm unable to terminate the process and I have to reboot. I would be grateful for a hint how to solve this problem.
