v6 ai doesn't unlock

After reading so many positive reviews on the software I decided to buy Silverfast last month. But up to now I haven't been able to use it 
The first version 6.2.0r7 wasn't able to find the scanner and the new update 6.4.2r9 isn't able to unlock although it is able to find my scanner
So at least for me one of the two most common obstructions for using the software is solved.
Now I'm just waiting untill the experts at Lasersoft have the solution to my problem. Hopefully I will be able to scan my slides of the trips to Australia and the USA by bike and Alaska by kayak in a short while.
I'm using Windows ME with a konica minolta elite 5400 II. If someone wants to read my logfile I will be very happy to sent it.
