v6 update query re Polaroid Sprintscan 120

I've just upgraded to 6.4.2r5d, as I now use OSX (10.3.9) on my Mac. Is it also necessary to upgrade the original Polacolor Insight software (which I never use)? - I was using v5.0.3 under OS9. If so, should the Polaroid upgrade have been installed before the Silverfast upgrade, as with the original installation? I'd be grateful for an answer, as I can't get Silverfast to work at all and I've heard nothing from Silverfast tech help since contacting them on the 23rd September.

the Polaroid software doesn't need to be installed at all. I will have a look into your "lost request".

there's only one ticket I can find for the email you are using for this forum: [Ticket: 2005092303749] (opened 23.09.2005 18:00:04).
There the scanner could be found after the upgrade, but you weren't able to serialise.

I have indeed had further problems - I did report these to the Silverfast team on two occasions, but yours is the first reply. I got Silverfast to serialise OK, but it then either couldn't find the scanner or just froze
