Hi!

I just want to let you know that I have found a problem using SilverFast? Ai (version 6.4.2r2b), Adobe? Bridge? (version 1.0.2.109) and 16 bits tiff greyscale images :

The image preview won't appear in Adobe? Bridge? : you will only see the windows tiff's icon file. Tought in Photoshop? CS2 the file opens correctly. That's very strange since Adobe? claim the sofware could show almost every type of image file.

I think that's a software problem with that version of Silverfast? Ai because when I go back to my ancient version (6.2.1r9), everything go back to normal, with the useless Silverfast? splash startup screen ;) .

I use :
Windows XP Service Pack 2
Intel? Pentium? 4, 2.00 Ghz
1, 12 Go of Ram
Brand new refurbished Microtek ScanMaker i900
Adobe? Photoshop CS 2 version 9.0
Silverfast? Ai (6.2.1r9)

Hello Schrubs,

I think there must be something else going on because I am able to view TIFF images just fine using the SilverFast version 6.4.2r2 and the CS2 Bridge. Please note there is an update to the Bridge (version 1.0.2) dated July 14, 2005. Here is an excerpt from Adobe's web site, "The Adobe? Bridge 1.0.2 update delivers overall improved stability and performance. This update is recommended for all Adobe Bridge customers."

Hope this helps!

You said that it work with your tiff images, are they in 16 bits grayscale?

Yes,

I have both Gray Scale and RGB 16 bit images. I only deal with 8 bit images when they are from my digital camera.

Sorry that it doesn't work for you! :(
