Reflecta Crytalscan 7200: Serialization, prescan impossible
PostPosted: Sat Jun 18, 2005 7:37 am
Hello,
I just bought a new scanner, a Reflecta Crystalscan 7200. As I used Silverfast on my old Microtek FilmScan 1800 I bought the new scanner together with Silverfast on a CD, version 6.4.1.r8a.
1. problem:
The serial-number on the CD-cover contains 6 blocks of 5 characters each. So I did not select the input-field for 20-byte-serial-number but the six fields on the bottom of the serialization-screen. But Silverfast never accepts it. So I can only use the demo-mode.
2. problem.
To test the quality of the new scanner I tried to scan with Silverfast in demo-mode. But after pressing the prescan-button every time an error-message appears:
"Fehler beim Starten des Scanprozesses. Kann Gradations Tabellen nicht senden" (Error starting scan process. Cannot send gradation tables).
There is no way to get around this error. My suspicion is that this is not due to the serialization problem - in demo-mode you usually can do everything with Silverfast, only the final image has a lot of "Silverfast"-signatures in it.
My PC still has Win98, the scanner's vendor described this scanner as ok for Win98 on his Homepage. Can this problem be caused by Win98 nevertheless?
Thanks for your help in advance.
