LaserSoft Imaging

Have recently upgraded to Mac OXX 10.4 (Tiger). Nice... but have also upgraded to latest Silverfast AI and all working fine BUT cannot use IT8 Calibration because cannot get the IT8 button to show. Have had reply from support and tried but again has failed to resolve problem. HAVE SENT TWO MESSAGES TO SUPPORT in the last 3-4 days AND NO REPLY.

Has anyone else had the same problems as described above?


Problem solved thanks to Silverfast support. My fault. Had been putting in the wrong number to unlock IT8 calibration. Thank you Sonke.

Some general information regarding IT 8 calibration:

SilverFast AI has IT8 already enabled for certain scanners, while it is an option for others. It depends on your scanner model weather IT 8 has to be unlocked separately from the software, or is available as a standard feature.

If IT8 is optional for your scanner, you need a second serial number. Some older versions (20 digit serial numbers) require a Feature-CD as well.

Inside SilverFast, you would click on the "i"- (information)- button, located in the upper left corner of the pre-scan window. Then, click on "credits"and upgrade. Enter the IT8 serial number and click "ok". This will close the dialog and make the IT8 icon visible.
