Epson 4990 has initiation error message

Hi,
I recently bought the Epson 4990, I have to say I am a newbie on using scanner, using it with a Windows XP. Everytime I started the scanner software I get this error message, "This application has failed to start because DICELib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I can't seem to find a solution to this problem, any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have seen this problem reported in the past, but I was under the impression that it was fixed in the Epson 4990 version of Silverfast. Here is the previous thread:

I have recently purchased the Epson 4990 also and my Silverfast software installed without a hitch (well, actually, I did have one problem: it uninstalled the Silverfast software for my Epson 3200 which I most certainly did NOT want, but I digress...) Perhaps you should email tech support and see what they can do for you.

Thanks Helpful Corn, I followed the link you posted and ask Tech Sup to send me the missing DICELib.dll file.
