Serialization not working with Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED!?

I'm trying this forum hoping that someone from Lasersoft, or you users out there might help out here. The email I've sent to Lasersoft support hasn't been answered!

The problem:
I have just upgraded the Silverfast Ai software from version 5.5 to version 6 for an Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED with the SF-200 slidefeeder. The 65$ transaction from Lasersoft has be processed but when I try to enter the 20 digit serial number, which was provided by Lasersoft in an email, and pressing the button to the left of the text field the "spinning ball of death" appears and the Silverfast application stops responding. I'm then forced to quit the software and start all over again (which doesn't help much). I'm using Mac OS 10.3.8 and has downloaded the SFE-6.4.1r4b(NikonM) version of Silverfast Ai. I have also done a Repair Disk Permissions without any luck. I should perhaps mention that the Demo mode works flawlessly, but what good is that. This occurs when using both the SF Launcher or Photoshop CS.

What can I do to register and start using the newly bought software?

I would greatly appreciate any help a.s.a.p!

Best regards,
Johnny Ring
